Lithium ion Phosphate VS Nickel Cadmium on Environmental Impact

These toxic substances are harmful to humans and the environment if not disposed of and recycled properly. In view of environment and health, Lithium Iron Phosphate contains no toxic heavy metals and no carcinogens. This provides a significant reason to consider lithium-ion over Ni-CD batteries.
